Project Title: Carechoice Nursing Home, Trim, Co. Meath.

Brief Description: The project entailed the construction of a new build three-storey 42 beds extension and the refurbishment and upgrade of an existing 40 beds to a live operational nursing home.

Key site activities included; a dilapidation survey, site clearance, careful demolition works, environmental nuisance control measures, contractor proposed pre-cast construction, and new MEICA, (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Automation and Computerisation) installation.

The finished building was completed to a high energy efficiency BER A2 rating. The following CO2 reducing sustainable measures were implemented; heat recovery ventilation, rainwater  harvesting for the laundry and toilets, solar neutral oregon glazing, PV panels and smart MEICA controls. Due regard was paid throughout to all aspects of HSEQ and BC(A)R compliance. A user friendly O&M and safety file was also handed over.

The project was handed over on time and within budget to the full satisfaction of Carechoice.
