Brief Description: The project involved the construction of a 32-classroom split level Post Primary school consisting of 2/3/4/ storeys and connected sports hall and associated infrastructure such as new entrance road, car parking areas, ESB substation and switch room, boiler house, offices, library, canteens and a special needs unit. 

The main structural frame consisted of steelworks, precast wall panels, precast slabs and stairs. The exterior of the building was finished with a combination of brick, coloured render and extensive environmentally friendly and responsive solar glazing. 

Support facilities on the site included play areas and sport pitches of various finishes including hard and CO2 absorbing soft landscaping in the form of trees, shrubs, hedges and green ways. 

The civil engineering works package included reinforced concrete walls, macareffi gabions, a new culvert to divert the existing river, SUDS and a water harvesting system.
