Brief Description: Civils works associated with the redevelopment of the existing Poolbeg Tank Farm to provide a strategic storage facility for the bulk storage of distillate fuel reserves. Works consisted of new services connections along a public road, installation of a new impervious reinforced concrete slab to tank bund, and construction of impervious tertiary containment consisting of a combination of reinforced concrete walls and earthen berms.

Construction of a new Control Room, Gantry Loading Facility and Fire control Building. There were also significant roads, drainage and service installations to be carried out. All works were carried out to a very high specification and sealed to withstand an oil spill if it should occur. These works were carried out adjacent to Dublin Bay and a wildlife reserve and very strict environmental restrictions were in place to prevent pollution and to protect the flora, fauna and marine in the area.
